Our Shepherd's hut is situated on site along side our three yurt's. It has it's own walk out decking platform with bistro table and chairs, looking over to the fell's and the stunning Lorton Valley. The Shepherd's hut sleeps up to two people and no dogs I am afraid.
Inside it has a extremely comfy double bed with feather duvet and fresh linen. Wooden floors, Equipped kitchenette with gas camping stove. Super cosy wood burning stove with logs and sticks to hand. Solar powered lamp and two chairs to relax in comfort.
There is a fire pit outside for toasting those marshmallows and a cool box for keeping things cool. The Shepherd's hut has its own eco shower and compost toilet located on site and access to the sites washing up area for dishes etc.
Sneck Yeat Farm is located 10 minutes drive outside of Lorton, 15 minutes from Loweswater, 8 minutes from the town of Cockermouth and 20 minutes from Keswick. A brilliant location and base camp for visiting the great sites of the Lake Distirict or even setting out for a walk, with out being to isolated or cut off and with the benefits of a beautiful, quiet area.
The Yurts are available from April to the end of October for season 2024. Minimum two nights stay and minimum three nights stay on bank holiday weekends.
Check-in after 4pm on arrival date.
Check-out by 10am on departure date.
