Our luxurious and authentic Mongolian yurt is situated in the heart of Keswick in the Lake District, 5 minutes from Lake Derwentwater the Queen of the Lakes, 2 minutes from the centre of town and with stunning views of the surrounding fells such as Skiddaw and Latrigg.
Inside the Yurt...
The yurt has a superior 5 ft bed, chest of drawers, fitted carpet and sheepskin rugs and electricity which runs bedside lamps, TV and oil fired heater. The yurt has 2 windows and a roof light through which you can lie in bed and watch the night-time stars. We can also put two single mattresses into the yurt should you wish to bring young children, however this will obviously restrict floor space. Egyptian cotton bedding, good duvets and pillows and thick towels are included.
Facilities
Next to the yurt is a shower room with toilet, sink and electric shower and a fully insulated and very cosy 'shed' in which there is a fridge, baby belling stove, kettle, toaster, crockery and china, an antique chaise longue, barbeque equipment, picnic gear, table and chairs and sofa with TV, DVD and CD player.
Surroundings
Outside there is a lovely area to sit and enjoy the views, eat breakfast or barbeque evening meals and a garaged parking space for one car.
Availability
The yurt can be rented on a Bed and Breakfast basis with breakfast delivered to the shed each morning or on a self catering basis. On arrival you will find tea, coffee, milk and cake in the shed but we can also organise a hamper of locally produced food such as bacon, cheese, bread, jam, cordial etc.
The owners live in the house down the path and so are on hand should you need anything else to ensure you have a lovely stay.
